Orange Smoothie with FLOWERS Kombutxa

Batido de Naranja con FLOWERS Kombutxa

Oranges can be consumed fresh, peeled, and sliced, or they can be juiced to make orange juice. Rich in antioxidants, such as vitamin C, which can help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals, they are also a good source of fiber, folic acid, potassium, and calcium. In addition to their culinary use, oranges are utilized in traditional Chinese medicine to treat coughs and colds. They have also been studied for their potential health benefits, such as reducing the risk of heart disease and controlling blood sugar in people with diabetes.

Elder, a shrub found in North America, Europe, and Asia, boasts fragrant white, umbrella-shaped flowers and produces black, blue, or red berries in the summer and fall. Elderberry has been a staple in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Elderflowers are utilized to treat cold, cough, and fever symptoms and are believed to possess anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. Rich in antioxidants, elderberries are used to treat digestive problems and bolster the immune system. In cooking, elderberries can be transformed into jams, jellies, syrups, and wines, while elderflowers can be brewed into tea and added to salads and desserts for flavor and aroma.

Grapes, a highly popular fruit, are consumed fresh or used to make juices, cocktails, smoothies, must, wine, and jams. Laden with antioxidants and rich in vitamins C and K, they are also a good source of fiber and contain potassium and iron. Grapes are believed to possess anti-inflammatory properties and may aid in reducing the risk of heart disease and cancer.

FLOWERS Kombutxa is entirely natural, unpasteurized, and unfiltered, crafted from water, cane sugar, Lung Ching green tea, elderflower infusion, and grape must, all sourced from organic production, along with a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast known as SCOBY. It undergoes second fermentation inside the bottle, resulting in spontaneously arising bubbles. Distinguished from pasteurized kombucha, it retains live bacteria, beneficial yeasts, enzymes, and organic acids, which contribute to improved digestion, a reinforced immune system, and reduced oxidative stress in the body.

The floral essence of elderflowers harmonizes with the notes of grape pulp and peel, making it an ideal complement to appetizers and a perfect accompaniment to rice, fish, seafood, and Asian cuisine in general.
