The benefits of probiotics
Probiotics are live microorganisms that are extremely beneficial for everyone. Although many people only know them as supplements sold in specialist shops and pharmacies, they are found in many fermented foods. This group includes yoghurt, kefir, tempeh, miso, sauerkraut and kombucha.
There are hundreds of probiotics, and each acts differently on food, with varying degrees of impact on our health.
When everything works well, our gut is populated by good and bad bacteria living together peacefully. The role of the good ones, the probiotics, is to digest food, absorb nutrients, rid the body of toxins, clean the digestive system and activate immunity. The bad ones, in the right measure, don't affect the normal working of the digestive system.
Kombucha is the probiotic with the highest bacteriological variety, it contains hardly any sugar, it is unpasteurised and therefore keeps its live bacteria.
